Our aim is to safely divert electric equipment away from landfill, saving the precious materials inside, and instead repair and refurbish that technology so that it can go back into the community and have a smaller impact on the environment in the process. For most businesses, their primary concern is data and compliance. We have worked with companies large and small for 12 years and have always considered the security of our customer’s data a top priority. Upon arrival at our warehouse, any drives potentially containing data are removed from your machines and stored in a secure location for erasure. All items collected are documented and audited upon collection; copies of which are sent to the customer. All data is securely destroyed onsite, this is done using our specialist data centre.

We also provide certification of secure data destruction. This will be available to you from 28 working days after your collection. In addition, we can send you a certificate of carbon reduction (if requested), which highlights how much CO2 (or equivalent) you have saved from recycling your equipment with us.

As for where your old technology goes, over 50% of everything we refurbish gets donated to schools, charities, and non-profit organisations across the UK and in parts of Africa. Most recently, our donations have been going to Ukrainian refugees who are living in the UK, children’s hospices, homeless charities, and local community-run fire stations. The components which are beyond responsible repair get stripped down to their core components at a refinery before being melted down to be reused again.
