Designing for Purpose: A Circular Approach to the FIS Conference Space
Broadbase Furniture Solutions
Stand: 3a/Q54
Broadbase is proud to announce its role as the official sponsor for the FIS Interiors Insight LIVE conference space at this year’s Workspace Design Show London. Taking place on 25-26 February at the Business Design Centre, London, the event brings together the UK’s leading workplace professionals to explore the future of the modern office.
The space is developed in collaboration with the Finishes and Interiors Sector (FIS) to support both structured conference activity and informal interaction throughout the show. The space combines circular design with conference functionality and the comfort of a modern workplace environment. The main seating area incorporates a variety of options — from high-end chairs and upholstered stools to meeting room and stacking chairs — softening the feel of a traditional conference layout while meeting headcount and practical requirements.
Sustainability through Continu
The entire conference space is furnished with quality used items curated through our Continu approach, saving an estimated 3.4 tonnes of embodied CO₂e. By choosing high-quality reused furniture, we aim to illustrate how thoughtful reuse can create a workspace that is comfortable, design-led, and sustainable without compromise.
Industry Collaboration
In addition to the main conference area, we have collaborated with Workstories to introduce two dedicated informal meeting areas. These flexible zones provide the FIS and conference attendees with spaces for breakout conversations, networking, and multi-use activity throughout the two-day event.
We look forward to seeing the space brought to life by the FIS community throughout the show.
Thought Leadership: Making Sustainability Your Superpower
We are also delighted to announce that Broadbase Director, Georgina Smith, will be taking to the stage for the show’s opening session.
Georgina will join the panel for ‘Making Sustainability Your Superpower – discussing a value-based approach’, where she will share her insights on the value of reuse in commercial interior projects. Drawing on a real-world example of a sustainable furniture strategy, Georgina will discuss how blending quality used and refurbished pieces with new requirements creates spaces that are both environmentally responsible and commercially viable.
