Benjamin has experienced 14 years of gambling harms, finding recovery in 2020 through the help of GambleAware commissioned treatment and support network. Benjamin now uses his own experiences to guide, support and help others as individuals as well as informing policy and commissioning at a national level. Benjamin is a qualified recovery coach, peer supporter and has one year to qualify as a counsellor. Bens passion is to raise awareness of gambling harms, reduce stigma and shame, and in turn get more people to have a wider understanding and access support sooner.
