The one constant in my career is that I have always been a researcher; however, I have not always worked in workplace and FM. Prior to my life in academia, I worked in the social housing sector as a research analyst. Without knowing it at the time, I was involved in FM. After doing this for a few years, I stumbled across a vacancy as a Research Associate at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), to work on a research project in FM. As such, you could say that at this point, I fell into workplace and FM ' a common phrase that many people I am sure can relate to.
