Tom Kegode is the founder of SparkShift, a future-of-work consultancy helping leaders and organisations evolve how they work, lead and collaborate across five generations. His career spans 16+ years across three distinct chapters: five years on the front line in retail banking, from the shop floor to running teams; five years in innovation strategy, building products, partnerships and fintech ecosystems; and five years leading people, places and ways-of-working transformation at one of the UK’s largest banks. That journey gave him a sharp perspective on what happens when organisations invest in technology without aligning culture, leadership and operating models around it. Through SparkShift’s Work:Lab method, Tom brings diverse groups together to co-create the conditions where technology, people and ways of working actually connect. His work is shaped by six shifts he believes are reshaping the modern workforce, from multigenerational exchange and intentional leadership to AI-enabled culture, and he tackles each with energy, evidence and a belief that the best ideas come from the room, not from a slide deck. Tom has worked with organisations including Lloyds Banking Group, Crisis, the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and the Department for Education, and is a judge for the UK Company Culture Awards. He works with leaders and teams who are navigating the gap between investing in workplace technology and making it work for their people and culture. Whether that’s evolving ways of working, unlocking multigenerational collaboration, or making hybrid genuinely stick, he helps organisations co-create what comes next
