The change in the approach to work since the pandemic has been seismic, with recruitment challenges, hybrid working and reduction in office attendance being huge concerns for many organisations. We can liken this revolutionary shift to what happened in the retail world: changes in distribution and the rise of technology caused retailers to think that bricks and mortar stores may die. To respond to the challenges, retailers shifted their focus towards quality experiential stores in high grossing locations, vs quantity. Today, we will be exploring several learnings from this revolution that can be applied to the commercial property world.
