Hackathon
05 Apr 2022
Hackathons were born out of silicon valley as fast-paced, sprint-like events aimed at bringing multiple skillsets together to intensively collaborate on software projects. Since they came to prominence the business world has adopted this methodology in a range of different business and societal settings. In a first-of-its-kind project, The Workplace Event aims to create an open invite, facilitated workplace hack that will combine the skills and experience of HR, IT and FM to pick apart and reshape a workplace challenge. A group of carefully curated experts will be combined with visitors to the event to dive into particular parts of the challenge, develop ideas and share with the group new ideas, innovations and concepts that could lead to change. This practical, hands-on session, is not for the faint hearted as attendees are invited to roll up their sleeves, charge up their markets and hammer the flip charts. But if that's not your thing attendees are invited to observe others as they discuss the issues and solutions, chipping in when they're comfortable. Facilitate by Perry Timms and his team at PTHR, this promises to be one of the most dynamic and energizing sessions of The Workplace Event.
