I have spent several years working in PPE and safety equipment sales working with operatives in industries such as construction, utilities and manufacturing. Historically, these industries have been male dominated, both on the end user side, and within our own sector, so I understand firsthand the importance of women being visibly represented in the discussions surrounding PPE and manufacturing PPE. Championing women in this sector creates a clear path for the next generation of women to succeed in technical sales roles and account management roles like mine. It is also good for our business. It's also good for the business: the frontline workers we equip are increasingly diverse, and our sales teams and product thinking should reflect that.
